Two.Charcters

Updated Script and Map

For playing as two characters, as not enough people where replaying to choose a different location.

  • Each side is written in a different perspective.
  • Serenity, you have to go to bookshop.
  • Adam, you have to go to the gallery.

The narrative is the same, just written in a different ‘voice’ and Adam/Serenity use the same dialogue, under different names.

Commuter

I play tested the game with someone on the train home from London. They liked the game and thought the narrative as engaging, while chuckling at some of the dialogue. The game played through fine with minor glitched.

It took 20mins to play through the ‘fastest’ section of game play. Bookshop-> Pub -> Grocery Shop.

Most people have only ever played that route, and have no inclination of trying ‘other’ path ways when they are indicated.

I tested the game on my Sister-in-Law who also enjoyed it, and suggested putting a 1/3 ending at the end to help indicated that there were more possibilities, although this still wasn’t motivation enough to play through the game twice.

A suggestion made was why can you not play as the other characters? This was a core concept in the original design, which hasn’t made it into the vertical slice. It would also encourage people to play the game again, as it is more obvious that there is more content.

I could implement this into the current version by using the route into Maximo and Adam, switching the perspective of the character so you play through the same day twice, but you are forced to go to the pub in one and Maximo the other, to demonstrate the point.
